On Sunday 6th January John Watkins celebrated his 90th birthday, a surprise party was arranged by his daughter in conjunction with Bank Hall. John thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon, listening to the artist Natasha sing a variety of songs from the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s.
John had a couple of seated dances, he was delighted by the visit from Burnley’s Mayor Councillor Charlie Briggs, residents enjoyed glasses of snowball’s or shandy, lovely biscuits and sweets followed by a wonderful birthday cake made by the cook Audra.
It was a wonderful celebration of John’s 90 years.
