Rochcare Manager Wins Great British Care Award
It’s a pleasure to announce that Donna Norton, Registered Manager for Coniston House Care Home, was awarded The Care Home Registered Manager award at the North West, Great British Care Awards!
The ceremony took place on Saturday 24th July, 2021 at The Kimpton Clock Tower Hotel in Manchester. The event, hosted by Steve Walls, was a glamorous evening with entertainment, a three-course meal, a trophy giving ceremony and continued with dancing into the night. The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK and are a celebration of excellence across the care sector. The purpose of the awards is to pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.
Donna has been the manager at Coniston House for 5 years and has shown incredible leadership skills in her response to challenges presented throughout the Covid 19 pandemic. Donna and her team have shown a true dedication to care and have worked tirelessly to keep the home safe and secure while maintaining a homely atmosphere for everyone they care for.
Donna said “I’m still in shock after winning the award, it’s lovely to be nominated for an award but to win was incredible. I love what I do and the team I work with. I’ve been a manager for the last 15 years and I’m truly passionate about providing a caring, homely environment for our residents, winning this award for doing just that feels amazing”
Donna has been instrumental in ensuring the care provided at Coniston House is consistently exceptional, quickly making Coniston House the first choice residential care home in the Chorley area that local families have true confidence in.

Donna will be invited to the National Great British Care Award ceremony later in the year, hosted in Birmingham, which will see all the winners from around the country get together to celebrate and name the national winner in each of the 21 categories. Well done Donna!
