On Wednesday 12thSeptember was Coniston House’s first visit to Hope View Sensory Farm in Manchester, a group of residents and staff enjoyed a day out in the sunshine, they fed the animals, took part in some art and crafts and did some fishing on the lake
We had a picnic lunch in a log cabin by the lake chatting about all the animals and looking at the things we had made in the craft workshop
All the Residents got involved in all the activities on the farm including feeding and grooming the animals some even caught a fish
The staff at the farm were very interactive and all have had some training in Dementia
We had a wonderful day at the farm and can’t wait to return this year
