Bank Hall rated Good by CQC
We’re delighted that the consistent hard work of Bank Hall Care Home’s staff has been recognised through an official rating of Good by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The luxury care home on Colne Road, Burnley, is one of our residential care homes providing exceptional care to people aged 65+ and those living with age-related difficulties and dementia. Bank Hall, once a maternity hospital, is surrounded by lush woodland and offers its residents 24-hour care, a range of activities and opportunities to socialise and delicious home-cooked meals that are freshly prepared by their head chef daily, using seasonal ingredients.
The inspection was carried out on 25th May 2021 in two areas (Safe and Well-led) with the home awarded an overall rating of Good. CQC praised the safety of the home, Bank Hall staff promptly respond to the needs of the people in their care with one person saying that “The staff are very good and really helpful”. The home was also rated good for its safety measures in response to Coronavirus, which include thorough cleaning of surfaces and regular testing for staff, residents and all visitors to the home. Bank Hall, and their specialist dementia care unit Scarlett House, are one of the first homes to be inspected in the local area since restrictions began to ease earlier this year, and really have set the standard for other care providers in Burnley.
Our Registered Manager at Bank Hall, Sandra Carr, described the result as “a testament to the continuous hard work of the staff”.

The result from CQC is confirmation of the positive work everyone here has done and continues to do on behalf of the ladies and gentlemen who live here and I couldn’t be more proud with the result”.
