We had a fantastic time at the Great British Care Awards (Northwest division) held on Saturday 12th November at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel. We had a total of fourteen nominations over 12 categories.
Being chosen for a nomination in these awards is an incredible honour, and to have fourteen nominations is something special. We wanted to thank our entire hard-working staff for the previous 12 months and look forward to the next.
The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK and are a celebration of excellence across the care sector. The purpose of the awards is to pay tribute to those who have demonstrated outstanding excellence in their field of work. Through thousands of nominations, only four finalists can progress across the 25 categories. Rochcare is proud to announce that it received hundreds of nominations for each and every home and almost every staff member but only a select few make it to the shortlist.
From Royley House, Sandra Nixon was nominated for the Registered Manager award. From Bank Hall Care Home, Natalie Hesmondalgh is a finalist for the Dementia Carer Award. Coniston House received an incredible six nominations for Liam Green (Dignity in Care Award), Jack Thompson-Fowler (Care Innovator Award), Berenice Moss (Care Home Chef Award), Maddie Norton (Care Assessor/Planner Award), Donna Marsden (Outstanding Contribution to Social Care) and Zoe Foster (Care Home Worker Award).

There were 2 categories for each award, the Winners and the Highly Commended, a secondary award to those who were so incredibly close to winning. With great pride, it’s our honour to announce our 3 stars of the evening.
Natalie Hesmondalgh received a Highly Commended Award for the Dementia Carer Award. Zoe Foster received a Highly Commended Award for the Care Home Worker Award. Finally, our winner for the evening, Amelia Dean picked up the full award and will move on to the finals held in Birmingham in 2023!
