Carers Week 2021

Carers week 2021 has given us the perfect opportunity to celebrate and thank all the amazing care staff that continue to work incredibly hard in our homes and home care services. 

Throughout the Coronavirus pandemic, our teams have shown immense strength and dedication and have continued to provide consistently exceptional care. We know that through these difficult times they’ve relied on each other more than anyone, acting as one team to navigate policy changes, varying levels of restrictions and new ways of caring in the safest way possible. Our care teams have become more like a family to the people they care for than ever before and we’re very proud they’re all part of the Rochcare team!

With this hard work and commitment to care in mind, we thought carers week 2021 was the perfect opportunity to celebrate and thank all our care teams, both those working in our residential care homes and our team of carers providing exceptional in-home care.

Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. You can find out more about the campaign here >

As a small gesture of thanks, we wanted to give all Rochcare staff a Blue Light Card.  We thought rather than a one-off treat of chocolates or flowers, why not gift our teams with continuous discounts they can use wherever they like! All Rochcare staff are set to receive the cost of the card in their next wage and we’ve encouraged them to use this money to sign up for the discount card specifically for carers and emergency services staff, the Blue Light Card. 

We know this small gesture of thanks can never match the exceptional care our teams continue to provide and the genuine smiles from the people in our care that they make possible.
