We were visited by the fabulous Tony Grundy in August who presented a ‘Smart Cart’ to the staff and residents at Bank Hall. The smart cart is a fun way to create activities in a care home and helps to encourage residents to join in with social activities and reminiscence. The smart cart was made by Tony Grundy who has worked in the care home sector for over 30 years and specialised in Dementia Care.
Music and activities are key to communication and building positive relationships with residents within a care home. The smart cart is fabulous as it is on wheels, this can be moved around the home to be used for all residents within our care.
The Smart Cart Includes:
Church service , 1940’s – 1970’s reminiscence , Afternoon tea theme , Happy Birthday , Relaxation – Fish tank, Park Life , Sing-a-long , Karaoke , Quiz’s , Christmas theme , Microphone with amplifier , Speakers, LED lights, USB port to add your own items to the cart , Touchscreen Technology , Self-powered with up to 4 hours battery life , 27” touchscreen , Fully mobile & Lockable storage cupboard.
We feel that a Smart Cart would be a fantastic contribution to our Care Home, we would be able to provide our residents with added activities to suit each and everyone’s likes and preferences.
