I started working as a care home administrator in August 2006, part time whilst my son was at school. I later increased my hours and became full time in 2008.

I thoroughly enjoy working in social care because I like meeting new people and care homes have a vast variation of personalities and characters. I enjoy making people smile and I like to make a difference to peoples lives.

The best part of my job is helping residents and relatives when they are looking at placing somebody into care and reassuring them that we are available to offer support and advice, to make them feel more relaxed about the process.

I have achieved an NVQ 3 in Business Administration in 2016 and I have completed the mandatory training required for working in a care home environment.

My hobbies include travelling, reading and spending time with family and friends and eating out.

I am most looking forward to watching the home develop and meeting the new residents and relatives when they come to live at Pendle Brook.
