Jacqueline Winterburn

I have worked in social care for over 20 years. Starting off as a carer in a small residential home.

I have progressed through the ranks as a senior carer, deputy and became a registered manager in 2002 in my previous care home. I then became the registered manager of Royley House in May 2008.

I am very proud of the home and the progression it has made over the years. The staffing team work extremely well together providing a safe homely environment for the residents.

When I started my career in care I knew it was the perfect industry for me. My main goal was to become a registered manager so I was in a position to make a difference to people lives.

I am extremely passionate about providing person-centred care and encourage the staff to be the best they can be.

My favourite part of my role is getting to know the residents, what they like and don’t like and of course making them feel valued and respected.
